Rural interests centre on Cattle Grazing and Agricultural crops including Sugar, Sorghum and Grain, and together with Business and economic growth, development within the Shire is unprecedented.
Continuing shire investment is expected to be maintained in line with expanding operations of coal mines and the support services they require. Further, new interest by developers in the Mt Britton goldfield area may also open other new mining opportunities.
